I've been buying, renovating and selling houses in Melbourne for the past 10 years. It started as my own passion—finding properties with potential, working out what would actually add value, and transforming spaces to look substantially better.
Over time, I developed a genuine understanding of what works and where money should be invested. Not from theory, but from doing it repeatedly—making the decisions, managing the trades, seeing what delivers returns and what doesn't.
Then came styling—the icing on the cake. Even beautifully renovated properties need that final layer to help buyers connect with them. Styling became the natural extension of the work, bringing everything together to show a property at its absolute best.
What I've realised is that while this process feels straightforward to me now, it's genuinely overwhelming for most people. When you've never renovated before, or you're time-poor, or you're trying to coordinate everything whilst preparing to sell—it's a lot.
That's why I started Lauren Palmer Projects. I handle the entire process—from working out what needs doing, to managing the trades, to styling it so it really shines. My experience means nothing feels overwhelming to me. I know which improvements deliver returns, I know reliable tradespeople, and I know how to make decisions quickly.
